The Croma was presented to journalists in Turin , in December 1985.
In January 1986 began its sales.
A year ago I found in Turin, one of the first Croma Turbo ie (February 1986).
At that time, In Turin there was the "boom" of sales of Lancia Thema, and Fiat had an impressive number of orders of Croma.
These cars, in later years were everywhere, demonstrating the success of sales and customer satisfaction.
Now, find a Turin Croma Turbo MK1 so old, it was a real lucky, because here, these cars are virtually extinct.
I did a restoration, keeping more original parts as possible.
This car does not need any special parts, large wheels, or tuning, is already so beautiful!

In this delicate restoration (many internal parts are fragile), were removed rear window and the front windshield.
Were replaced all exterior lights, bumpers, and profiles on the doors.
The interiors have been cleaned up with technology "spray and extraction" using specific detergents.
The famous aluminum wheels have been reborn by "diamond treatment "
Here is a picture of the car ready for paint (blue dry).

The wheels have been regenerated by a specialist.
Are controlled, straighten the deformation due to the use of the road, and at the end they returned perfectly circular.
Then, put them on the lathe, and are "skinned" with a special diamond tool (the same tool used for finishing pistons).
After this process, the wheel is shining like a mirror, and is protected with catalyzed varnish

No, gold view is a photographic effect due to the flash.
Aluminum wheels become shining effect "shiny silver".

simmy,zeptej se ho za kolik dela takovou GO auta.Logicky radej investuji 300 tisic do auta co bude behat 25 let,nez do nejakyho stejne drahyho dnesniho aususu co po osmi letech dosluhuje a vyzaduje pravidelnou vymenu ruznych dilu (mimo ty bezny) na kterych vyrobce dohani zisk lacineho prodeje noveho "vozu".

1) Manas says: very nice, excellent work at a high level. I dream of such a work, but unfortunately, in my terms, this can not. And my personal opinion is that Croma Mk.1 is nicer than Mk.2! When I'm big, so I'll buy it again.

Hello Simmy, this project was realized only because I wanted to save a true symbol of the 80's: One of the first Croma Turbo i.e. survived in Italy .
Fortunately I have the financial ability to do a job of this type.
There not has been speculation , I have not asked myself if it made sense economically restore an old Croma Turbo ie.
This car is a testimony of what Fiat was able to achieve, with superior technology and ideas, to competitors at that time.
The total cost of the restoration, was 114.000 Kč (114.000 Kč (4500 Euro)).( handworkers are very expensive)
In this project I have changed many parts : rear and front bumpers, doors protections, front an rear lights, fog lights, smal and big wipers, and other little parts, all NOS ( new old stock).
And in any case I'm very, very happy !

The OldTurboCroma is already in use, and has an insurance policy for historic cars. .
There are still some things to fix, there is some crunch (which is normal ...), and details not to Top, the car works very well
It 's definitely more "roaring" of Croma Turbo Kat, perhaps due to lack of countershaft and something not well soundproofed.
The clutch is heavy, also because of its wear and the command does not hydraulic.
But it is very powerful, and fun!
Many stop to look at her, realizing that this car knows how to be nice even now, after 27 years since its inception.
